The AGRICORE consortium is proud to share with you the 5th Newsletter, presenting our work and latest results of the last period.
Within this issue you will learn how the partners implemented the task of data characterization and defined the process which led to the characterization of 298 datasets. Furthermore, the agricultural Research Data Index Tool (ARDIT) is introduced as a web application serving as open data portal where researchers can publicly access an index of available agricultural data sources. This tool also provides data necessary to fill the attributes of the farm agents that compose the synthetic populations used in the ABM.A summary of the Synthetic Population Generation (SPG) is provided, and the 4-stage procedure is presented. Finally, you will find a short progress report of the last 6 months and the latest updates of our sister projects MINDSTEP and BESTMAP.
