Description: EXELISIS is an engineering-based consulting company located in Athens, Greece. EXELISIS was created by a group of engineers and entrepreneurs with extensive experience in business development and innovation. Their key personnel have over 15 years of experience in International Business, Company Formation, Opt Out and Exit Strategy. Furthermore, the company’s personnel have considerable expertise in the planning of Dissemination and Communication activities such as the preparation of printed and digital dissemination material aiming to communicate results to targeted audiences and stakeholders.  The main core of their services is providing professional assistance and services to our clients that helps them to improve their business perception. They are offering their services to a number of target fields including those of sustainable agriculture, engineering and circular economy.

Main tasks in AGRICORE: EXE’s involvement in the AGRICORE project is concentrated in the work packages 8 and 9. EXE will contribute to the development, design and implementation of all project activities and planning related to its exploitation, dissemination and communication. In particular, EXE will play a key role in AGRICORE’s IPR management, as well as the refinement of its Plan for the Exploitation and Dissemination of Results. They will also actively support all communication and dissemination activities, especially focused on events and actions to boost AGRICORE’s impact.

Personnel involved:

Nikolaos Tsiantis is a Chemical Engineer. He obtained his Master of Engineering (MEng) in Chemical Engineering from the University of Patras (Greece) in 2015, focusing his thesis on the field of bio-process engineering. He later carried out his PhD in Chemical Engineering at the University of Vigo (Spain) in 2016.  His PhD thesis title is “Optimal control methods to explain and predict operating principles in biochemical pathways”. Between 2016 and 2019 he was working for the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), in the BioProcess Engineering Group led by Prof. Julio R. Banga, in the IIM-CSIC (Vigo), as a Marie-Curie Early Stage Researcher part of EU H2020 ETN SyMBioSys. His expertise lies in the fields of i) mathematical modelling, ii) dynamic systems, iii) process optimization and iv) process design. He has experience in dynamic system modelling and optimization-based algorithms as well as the development of novel methodological and computational tools and frameworks. Academically, he has published 3 first author scientific papers and he has presented his work in 4 international conferences across Europe. He has also conducted two research stays in Ecole polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne – EPFL (Lausanne, Switzerland) and Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (Berlin, Germany).

Ilias Gkotsis holds a Meng in Chemical Engineering. He graduated from the University of Patras (Greece) in 2019. His Thesis title was ‘’The Effect of sulphate ions on the durability of concrete structures’’ which was presented by him at the National Chemical Engineering Congress.  Moreover in 2019 he worked for the Innovation and Technology Transfer Office of the Greek National Scientific Research Center Demokritos. He involved in technology transfer and patent application procedures as well as in the development project of the center to be funded by the EIB. Moreover, he participated in some research and development agreements.

Dimitrios Karathanasis (male) holds a BSc in Computer Science followed by MSc degree in Advanced Computer Systems from the University of Piraeus. His dissertation was related with the Personalized Meta-Search Engine («smart» Meta-search engine using artificial intelligence techniques). He has vast working experience in private companies and public organizations as Web Developer. He has been participated in training seminars in the field of Informatics as educator. From 2011 to 2019 he has worked as administrative employee in Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs, Greece.
